The Geopolitical Context of Changing Japan-India Relations
Abstract
A significant, but, under-researched political adjustment in international relations in recent years is the upgrading of low-key relations between Japan and India to a global and strategic partnership. Particularly in the last decade Japan-India relations have gathered significant momentum. The focus of this paper is on the geopolitical context in which Japan-India relations are evolving. It is in tandem with the rise of China and Indo-US engagement that Japan has sought to raise its bilateral relations with India to a higher level with stronger economic and politico-strategic dimensions.Downloads
