Spain and Pakistan: Alien to Each Other
Abstract
Spain and Pakistan established formal diplomatic relations shortly after the Partition and birth of the Pakistani State. Nevertheless, for a long time such relations remained purely formal, with hardly any real content or substance. It was not until the years 2000 when, for a number of different reasons, the bilateral relations between Spain and Pakistan began to flourish. This was partly due to the influence of the events that sadly turned Pakistan the center of the world’s worries, but also due to specifically bilateral reasons, in particular the increase in the number of Pakistani nationals migrating to Spain.Downloads
