The Process of Military Transformation in Spain
Abstract
The article analyses the Spanish military Transformation from its beginnings until the present day. In 2004 – one year after the launch of this process in the Atlantic Alliance and three years after its consolidation in the United States – Spain initiated its defence Transformation as a means to prepare the force structure and military capabilities of its armed forces to meet the current and future challenges, thus ensuring the continuity of the process of modernization of materiel, the professionalization of the military, the adaptation of the security architecture of the country to the post-Cold War environment and the Spanish integration to the collective security organizations.Downloads
