Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyse the effect how some manifestations affect film dialogue by leading progressively from unintentional silence to communicative refusal: psychological troubles, shared background, conversational taboos, or self-preservation draw an outline of the field of the unspoken, which is often more informative than uttered speech.Format
