Critical intersections of feminisms in Abya Yala: development. Gender, and climate change in the ecosocial transition
Abstract
The article examines the genealogy on the concept of development, initially focused on poverty and economic growth. The subsequent incorporation of sustainability, gender-based perspective and postmodern theories gave rise to critical paradigms that made it possible to deconstruct hegemonic models of exploitation and articulate an intersectional approach to analyzing inequalities. Based on these premises, the emergence of the feminist movements of Abya Yala and theirresponses to socio-environmental conflicts in tune with transformative epistemological proposals are explored. It presents anti-extractivist experiences that link theory with practices of political resistance.
