Aspectos sociológicos de la transexualidad

Abstract

Las personas transexuales (hombres y mujeres) viven una incongruencia interna (psicológica) entre el sexo con el que éstos y estas nacieron y el sexo al que se sienten pertenecer y con el que quieren vivir social y laboralmente. Es un colectivo especialmente sensible a sufrir y/o padecer discriminación, siguen existiendo demasiados prejuicios sociolaborales a la hora de aceptar a estas personas. Requieren el apoyo tanto de su familia como del resto de los ciudadanos y ciudadanas, en su camino para lograr sus deseos.
