Role description:
Associate Editors play a central role in the editorial workflow. After an initial screening by the Chief Editors, they oversee the full peer-review process for assigned manuscripts. Their responsibilities include selecting and inviting qualified reviewers, evaluating reviews, and issuing the final editorial decision. Associate Editors are expected to be experienced researchers with a strong publication record in one or more areas covered by the journal.
Editorial Board Members support the peer-review process by providing expert reviews and recommending suitable reviewers for specific topics. This role is ideal for researchers at various career stages—early or advanced—who are motivated to contribute and typically have more flexible availability. After completing three years of service, Editorial Board Members will be given priority consideration for promotion to Associate Editor.
Both Associate Editors and Editorial Board Members serve as subject-matter experts who participate in regular editorial meetings, help define the journal’s strategic direction, and uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct. The number of manuscripts assigned will depend on each member’s expertise and availability.
