Valor / Tempo. Um Ensaio sobre os Princípios da Economia Política
Abstract
This study critically revisits the concept of value in political economy, bridging classical and Marxist traditions. It emphasizes the role of time in determining value, a dimension long neglected since the 19th century. The analysis reconsiders the human–machine relationship, showing that technology reshapes rather than eliminates labor, generating new forms of economic activity. Value, as a socially determined relation, transforms rather than disappears, and capitalism adapts to these changes without collapsing. The essay proposes an alternative theoretical framework that centers time in understanding the dialectic between labor, technology, and society.
