Abstract

This paper tries to show an approach to the study of television and it effects on public, using a sociohistoric perspective. The process through televison becames a social institution as mass media communication is the result of a fast development that inspires a big quantity of studies related to it evolution and line, to it functions and consequences. An analysis of the main historic and sociological research works about the subject let us indicate some of the process keys.
