Journalistic Writing: Composition and Technologies. Narratological Analysis and Multimodal Integration in Print and Digital Texts
Abstract
This research contributes to the study of narratology applied to journalism, highlights the historical influence of different technologies on writing, and provides a detailed analysis of variations according to the technological environment. With the aim of moving beyond purely linguistic analysis, the semiotic dimension of texts published in print media, digital media, and the X platform is recognized, as well as their multimodality and interdiscursivity. To this end, three types of analysis are employed: narratological, multimodal syntax, and content analysis. Among the findings, it is noteworthy that communication technologies facilitate the creation of technological-narrative environments, in which specific constraints and possibilities shape writing.
