(Nuevos) Personajes, temáticas y espacios en el (nuevo) cine español dirigido por mujeres
Abstract
This article analyzes whether there are differences in some variables, such as characters, spaces, themes, etc., in Spanish films directed by women or men. For this purpose, a content analysis has been carried out on twenty-seven films, those nominated in 2022, 2023 and 2024 in the categories of Best Director and Best New Director at the Goya Awards, and the results obtained have been studied. Thus, after the analysis, differences were observed that point to a greater diversity in films directed by women compared to those in which a man was the director.
