Abstract
This article constitutes a summary of a larger project which studied the content of charophyte fossils from eight outcrops in two diffcrent arcas of the Loranca basin (Cuenca Province): 1-luete area, and El Hito area. The obtaincd data have been complemented with other studies of micromammal Iossi¡s performed on the same hasin. and have been compared with otixer studíes on cliarophytes perfornied on several european basios, Departamento dc P alconroloeí a, Facultad de Ciencias Geológicas, U (7 M.
