Descubrimiento del primer yacimiento cuaternario (Riss-Würm) de vertebrados con restos humanos en la provincia de Madrid (Pinilla del Valle)

Abstract

We give notice of a new fossiliferous loeality with vertebrate rests of Pleistocene age, placed in Pinilla del Valle (Madrid). Until now 14 orders and 30 families have been identified, with a preponderance of mammals. Some species of this latter group allow a provisional datation of the deposit as belonging to Riss-Wtirm (Eeemien) intergíacial or some Riss interstadial. Aparition of some roughly working tools together with another burned one are remarkable. Ihis indicate a antropogenic action corroborate by the aparítion of a human molar (M1 right). This find allow to hope news discovery of human rest.
