Abstract
The Upper Viséan rugose corals from Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo and El Casar (San Antonio-La Juliana Unit, Cordova and Badajoz) are described. Ten species belonging to eight genera have been identified. Axophyllid corals are dominant in the assemblage and fasciculate corals are also common. On the other hand, no massive rugosans have been collected. Occurrence of the genus Amygdalophylloides is recorded for the first time older than Serpukhovian with the description of the new species A. anticuum. Thus, the record of the family Geyerophyllidae is extended from Viséan to Permian.Downloads
