Abstract

The Middle Cambrian fossil record in Spain is abundant and biozonation is mainly based onTrilobita arad Archaeociata. This justifies the interest the appearance of new taxa as echinoderms rouse. Its study gives a more complete stratigraphic model, a better characterized ambient conditions and more accuracy in the valuation of biodiversity changes. In this work we describe a new Eocrinoid with an exceptional preservation because it preserve brachioles, theca, stem and holdfast in anatomical conection. The studied material comes from the Middle Cambrian shales of Barrios de Luna (Leon). The paleoassociation is in liso Solenopleuropsis simula biozono. This record is exceptional because complete echinoderms of this period are very rare worldwide
