Abstract
The following research analyses the Bougers Anomaly Map of the joining area of the Iberian and Betie Chains made on the basis of trying 1350 gravity measurements. The gravity measurements have been carried out with astatic gravimeter Lacoste and Romberg. The computation of the gravity values has been done according to the recomendation of the Geodety Reference System (GRS, 1967). This map reveals a strong NE-SW structure of the area in which the .Jumilla fault, accident of possible cortical importance separatíng two very different gravimetrie limits, stands out. Some of the residual anomalies calculated by subtracting a third degree surface can easily be related with known geologie features. Gravity lows can be explained by its relation to Triassic diapiric outcrops. The fracture of the area presents a narrow relationship to the Triassic material outcrops and the existing volcanie outcrops which allows us to suppose that a common genetic proccss to Unce clcmcnts cxists. In our opinion, this process has to do witli a recent stage of activation of the SW branch from the triple point in the Valencia Basin.Downloads
