Abstract

Our work proposes a textual analysis of the Carmina Barrios´ diptych: Carmina o revienta (Paco León, 2012) and Carmina y amen (Paco León, 2014). For that purpose, we will use a combination of filmic microanalysis and structural analysis, in order to understand the signification process in both films. The analysis will give us specific results regarding the narratological construction of the story: space, time, narrators and points of view. At the same time, we will show the connection of this resources with the main theme of both films: the relevance of the matrilineal legacy and the mechanisms of family memory in contemporary Spain.
