Abstract
In 1830 the painter José de Madrazo wrote a letter concerning El Greco’s painting of the Assumption, which had just been acquired by the Infante Sebastián Gabriel de Borbón. In this unpublished document, Madrazo expresses his opinions concerning the artist who was not especially appreciated at the time.Format
