Abstract

This article offers an overview of the current uses of electronic writing, particularly of compositions written by generative algorithms. Using pioneering examples of generative art, comparing other combinatorial methods and drawing relationships with theoretical perspectives on hyperreality and reproduction, this text seeks to discuss both the suspicions and the expectations to which writings derived from the use of algorithms and artificial intelligence are currently associated in the artistic environment.
