Posthegemony, Multitude and Neoliberalism
Abstract
The article studies three different forms of “post-hegemonic discourse”: historical usage, ontological construction and theories of the multitude, identifying the specific mode of negation of the concept of hegemony that operates in each of them. The performance of these critiques is evaluated from the point of view of their historical effectiveness. That is, considering their capacity to diagnose contemporary societies and their energy to develop transformative political thought and action.
