The City as a Space for Affective Politics. Inhabiting Communality facing Logics of Domination
Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse the way in which the affective basis behind the racial policies that are manifest in the social distribution of urban space is developed. To this end, the following aspects will be addressed: 1) the imposition of an affective law that serves as the basis for a performance that legitimises the condition of citizenship; 2) its repercussions in the aesthetic and ontological sphere through the invisibilisation and negation of racialised subjects; 3) the possibilities of inhabiting the city from dissidence through the case study of Corpografía by Colectivo Ayllu. In doing so, we propose the reappropriation of the concept of affective citizenship based on the uncapturable potential of affect.
