Testing biopower through its sensitive forms

Abstract

In this text, the proposal is to work with two foucauldian concepts from the anthropological point of view: biopower and heterotopy. It aims to understand the meaning of contemporary spaces as prison, camp and ghetto, showing their relations and their specificities. The proposal is also to establish a dialogue between anthropology and philosophy, elaborating concepts from the field.

Michel Agier, etnólogo y antropólogo, es director del Director de investigación en el  Institut de Recherche pour le Développement and en la École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris). De 2004 a 2009, ha coordinado Asiles, un amplio proyecto de investigación sobre refugiados y migrantes siniestrados y clandestinos en el mundo.
