Abstract
It is possible a History of the Environment? History, until very recent times, was not concerned about the relationship that persons keep with the physical environment where they live. These relationships can be respectful or damaging. The aim of the study is to establish a theoretical basis, a work approach and a study methodology. The possibilities of the historical sources are also analysed in order to present a History where these relationships are taken into account. At the end of the study a general assessment is made about the situation in the Middle Ages as an example.Format
