Abstract

The aim of this proposal is to analize some aspects of (human) upbringing from an inter-intracultural perspective, and with a diachronical consideration. This reflection shows a reevaluation of the relation (or possible dialectics) between intrafamiliar hierarchy or (parental) authority and the limitations that some basic human rights could imply; besides, its implications in education and the socialization of the minor people (children). It is also discussed here the changing delimitation of the concepts of “private” and “public” in our post-industrial societies, which contributes to this debate.
