CTK 14 Editorial Note

Despite all the havoc wreaked by the pandemic crise, CTK succeeded in maintaining its two-yearly issues through these dire times. The issue 14 completes the 7th year of life of this journal and retrieves the section of Kant’s translations, insofar as it contains a Spanish translation of Kant’s Reflections on Mathematics and of Kant’s reply to the writings of Kästner, an author mentioned in the Vorarbeiten of Theory and Practice.

The first part of CTK issue 14 displays a dossier edited by Javier Fuentes (Univ. of Bonn, Germany) and Luis Placencia (Univ. of Chile, Chile), entitled Kant’s Philosophy of Mathematics: Current and Classical Approaches. Three essays focus on different subjects related to this feature of Kant’s philosophy, always opened to the dialogue among sciences and to interdisciplinarity. This dossier retrieves another section of the journal, as it includes the translation of five texts related to Kant’s philosophy of mathematics that were trailblazing at their time. They were published through the last three decades in different journals and collected books. This dossier will help our readers to get acquainted with aspects of Kant’s thought still neglected by the mainstream research.

The miscellaneous part of the issue contains ten multilinguistic articles and four book reviews of recent Kant-related essays. The editorial team of CTK heartfully thanks the contributors, reviewers and readers of the journal for their fidelity and support. The editorial team will begin soon to schedule a special issue for Kant’s tricentenary. We will be very glad of also receiving suggestions and proposal with this goal.
