Evolución de los frames sobre ataques yihadistas en España y Reino Unido (2004/5-2017)

Resumen
Este artículo compara la cobertura, desde la perspectiva metodológica del framing, de cuatro atentados terroristas en España (2004, 2017) y Reino Unido (2005, 2017), con más de una década entre ellos, en dos periódicos de prestigio, El País y The Guardian. Los resultados del análisis de las 517 informaciones publicadas muestran una evolución sustancial en los encuadres o frames presentes en estos ataques yihadistas, al pasar de centrarse en las víctimas y la destrucción en 2004 y 2005 a priorizar la gestión y persecución del terrorismo en 2017. El énfasis se sitúa en revelar la estrategia y el modus operandi de los terroristas en lugar del caos resultante de sus acciones. En paralelo, la crítica a los errores en la lucha antiterrorista adquiere un peso relevante.
Biografía del autor/a
Licenciada y doctora en Periodismo (2008, Premio Extraordinario) por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Profesora Titular de Periodismo en la Universitat de València, está vinculada como docente a esta universidad desde la puesta en marcha de la licenciatura, en 2000. Ha trabajado como redactora del diario Levante-EMV durante nueve años. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la calidad y la deontología periodística, el periodismo narrativo y digital, y el análisis del discurso mediático. Ha realizado estancias de investigación en Francia, Reino Unido, Alemania, Portugal, Chile, Argentina y Perú. Ha publicado cerca de noventa artículos en revistas indexadas y capítulos de libro.
Doctora por la Universidad de Valencia y graduada en Periodismo por la Universidad Estatal de Moscú “M.V. Lomonosov”. Autora de varios artículos publicados en revistas indexadas en la Web of Science y Scopus. En calidad de Ayudante participó en el grupo de investigación “Migraciones, Interculturalidad y Desarrollo Humano” de la Universidad San Jorge. Realizó la estancia de investigación posdoctoral en el grupo de investigación “Periodismo, Comunicación y Poder” del Departamento de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Jaume I. Actualmente es investigadora del grupo Mediaflows de la Universidad de Valencia.
