Notes on several Roman funeral inscriptions from the antiques market
Abstract
We present in these pages four Roman funeral inscriptions from the European antiques market, auctioned in 2018-2019, of unknown origin, devoid of any archaeological context and unrelated to each other. All of them show cognomina of Greek origin that make think of freedmen.
