Abstract

This research aims at analysing the types of idioms documented in the Galician testimony emanated from the Roman de Troie of Benoît de Saint–Maure: the Crónica troiana (c. 1373). The results will be contrasted with the fragment of the Libro de Alexandre, the Historia troyana polimétrica (c. 1270) and the complete translation ordered by Alfonso 11th (c. 1350). This will lead to a more accurate description of the variational state of the phraseological units in the Peninsular West corresponding to one branch of the translations of the matter of Troy.
