Abstract

A brief exposition is made on the History of the Civil Process in the Hispanic legal world, differentiating the Visigoths, the High Medieval and the Common Law times that lead us to Modernity, to arrive, finally, to the 19th century where the Codification culminates, cimenting it on old patterns, the new procedural legislation in the civil field in 1855 and 1881.
