Two peculiar execution processes: one against Mari Sánchez de Ubirichaga (Bilbao, 1497-1513) and another against the Genoese merchant Tomás Espínola (Toledo-Madrid, 1572-1573)
Abstract
Two executive processes of a peculiar nature taken from the funds of the Archive of the Royal Chancery of Valladolid are brought together in this documentary contribution. The first of them from the Sala de Vizcaya, began at the end of the 15th century, in which a forge was built in the antechurch of Yurre, with numerous creditors attending and with unexpected results. Equally surprising is the end of the second trial, fully documented, which was followed in Toledo against a Genoese merchant, who arrived in Castile as an accused in Naples and Genoa.
