La consolidación del contemporaneísmo en la universidad española. Con ocasión del fallecimiento de Javier Tusell

Abstract

The death of Javier Tusell (1945-2005) —professor at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, and former lecturer at the Department of Contemporary History of Universidad Complutense de Madrid— has presented to the editorial staff of this review as an appropriate occasion for some professors of Contemporary History from several Spanish Universities to offer some considerations —it may be called ego-history— about the circumstances of their investigations and their teaching experiences during the years 1975 to 1980, when all of them entered their chairs. This dossier comprises thirteen contributions which do not comply with a preconceived outline. They deal with historiography matters, educational policies, and the intellectual context of the Spanish Transition years.
