Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of the Italian preposition da. The approach proposed is based on the language psychomechanics. The study emphasizes the Guillaumian dichotomy between langue and discours in order to prove that all the meanings that one can observe in discours for da can be derived from three signifiers of langue: a signifier of «origin», a signifier of «static» and a signifier of «destination». These signifiers correspond to a complete cinetism that we can also represent on an ideogenesis.
