Sobre Tibulo 1, 6, 51-53

Abstract

This article analyzes in detail a possible pun on v. 53 attigerit. Together with an obvious sexual meaning, that verb has also juridical overtones (=’lay hands upon in order to steal’) that fit the context of the whole poem, which deals with custodia puellae and furtum amoris.
