Abstract

The author examines the instances of ἱερόσυλος throughout Attic oratory from the Classical period (5th-4th B.C.). Thus, the aim of this study is to specify the lexical value of this adjective while observing its combination with other (ir)religious terms and the rhetorical figures inherent in the oratorical genre.
