Abstract

This paper examines the alien flora of Castilia and Leon (Spain), a vast region of the central Iberian Peninsula. The source of data was mainly herbaria (MA, LEB and SALA), complemented with authors’experience. We can stablish, by the results obtained, a regional catalogue of 326 alien vascular plants species, of which 29 are transformers. A number of them are potentially dangerous for natural ecosystems. We recommend to be cautious and keeping watch on sensitive areas, as riparian habitats and temperate zones.
