The worldview of trauma in the work of Carmen Berenguer and Lina Meruane
Abstract
This work raises the relationship between memory and trauma in the work of Carmen Beren-guer and Lina Meruane. Both authors evoke the image of the confrontation of Chilean youth against political domination during the social outbreak of 2019, which questions the paradigm of the prevailing order. The repression and blindness of the protesters responds to a police strategy reiterated in Latin America, which causes the disarticulation of the social body and leads to the rethinking of the eyes of memory in the narrative.
