China tras la mirada de la televisión española

Resumen


La movilidad psíquica que proporcionan los medios permite disponer de una imagen de un país en el que no se ha estado o de una sociedad con la que no se mantiene relación directa. Esta imagen construida se asienta sobre intereses editoriales y simplificaciones productivas que responden a la posición que ocupa el país en relación a otros. En el caso de China se observa en la televisión cómo las informaciones políticas y económicas características de países desarrollados coexisten junto a contenidos sensacionalistas, más propios de los que se dedican a países de la periferia. El estatus mediático otorgado a China parece corresponder al de un país todavía en proceso de transición hacia el centro del contexto internacional
