El Κανών de Epicuro en la "Epístola a Heródoto"

Resumen


En el siguiente artículo comentamos los conceptos relacionados con la Canónica epicúrea que aparecen en la Epístola a Heródoto con especial atención a su orden de aparición en la carta, a los vínculos entre sensación, prenoción y afección, así como a la distinción entre órgano de percepción mental (διανοία) y el resultado de tal actividad (πρόληψις), esencial para la construcción del razonamiento abstracto. En este contexto, se revaloriza la función transversal de la ἐπιβολή en todos los niveles cognitivos. Con las presentes observaciones intentamos también explicar si la φανταστικὴ ἐπιβολὴ τῆς διανοίας supone realmente un criterio adicional o una expresión equivalente a un criterio de conocimiento ya presente in nuce en la Epístola a Heródoto.
